Commissions are a collaborative process created to bring beauty into your home. It begins with the color palette specific to the space it will be placed. Is there a couch and pillows you want it to have similar colors to? Or an accent color you want peppered throughout? Once the colors are decided upon we move into the inspiration of the piece and what you want it to evoke. Is there a word you want it to embody that you want to think of every time you look at it? Maybe you want it to be representative of a special place, or maybe both. Using my creative intuitive skills, I will create something custom designed specifically for you and your space.
The commission process
Once the color palette and inspiration has been decided upon, there is a 50% nonrefundable deposit upfront for all commission pieces. You can expect it to take 8-12 weeks for completion. Once you receive the piece I will bill you for the other half of the total. For shipping, I go through UPS. They wrap and box it and it is 100% insured through them. There is the option of me taking the canvas off the wooden stretcher bars and sending it in a rolled tube. You can then take it to a framer near you who can then stretch the piece back onto its wooden frame. This option is less expensive to ship, but it depends on your prefrence.
